The film describes the story of the civil society initiative “Glas ljudstva”, The Voice of the People, and Friday’s anti-government protests, at events related to the programs of the initiative and through the perspective of many interlocutors. Among them are regular participants in the rallies, as well as seven interviewees from the civil society sphere. Slovenia has more than 50 years of tradition in civil society movements, which have always played an important role in democracy in the country, again in the last two years (2020-2022). During the center-right government in Slovenia, in parallel with the challenges of the covid-19 epidemic, human rights and the rule of law were often violated, thus the work of the civil society organizations – first time to be so extensively involved in the “Glas ljudstva” initiative –  seemed like a necessary historic moment, which represents the interests of the people and thus the hope for a better tomorrow for all of us.
